If you’re a veteran or know someone who is, below is an overview of veteran initiatives and opportunities that we focus on.

We’re proud to have a robust hiring program for veterans and have even been honored by Military Friendly, the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency and Military Times as one of America’s top employers for veterans. What sets us apart from other companies? We have a dedicated veteran recruiting team (who are veterans themselves) to help veteran candidates and their spouses transition from military to civilian life.

We also have a Tour of Duty program, which is an opportunity available to any transitioning service members looking for hands-on experience before starting a new career. This program allows veterans to shadow different roles and business areas and allows them to get a better understanding of what best suits their strengths and unique skillsets. This program opens the door to many full-time positions available within our organization, including human resources, security, technology, client relations and more.

All veterans and team members in the reserves are encouraged to join the Veteran Team Member Resource Network (TMRN) to connect with one another about their military service experiences and attend event opportunities together. In addition to the TMRN, team members receive a dedicated Team Relations Specialist and 24/7 access to our Veteran Hiring team who can help answer any career questions.

Through Built for Zero, 90 communities are proving that an end to homelessness is possible. In 2023, our support helped Built for Zero house more than 7,751 homeless veterans across the country. In our home community of Detroit, we’ve helped drive a 54% reduction in veteran homelessness.
