As you grow and your interests change, odds are your career will too. Most people won’t stay in their same role forever. But changing career paths can be challenging. You might need to learn new skills, make new connections or simply understand what your next step might look like. What if you want to explore new job opportunities but don’t want to leave the incredible culture of the Rocket Companies®? From popcorn and slushie machines to the ability to bring your pup into work with you, there’s plenty to miss about working here.

That’s where the THRIVE program comes in.

What Is THRIVE?

The THRIVE Program is a community of internal recruiters dedicated to finding the next best step in a team member’s career with the Rocket Companies®. THRIVE recruiters are solely reserved for current team members. Once you’re in our family, we do everything in our power to give you what you need so that you want to stay. Retaining top talent, supporting team member growth and offering career opportunities in the Rocket Companies® is what the THRIVE Program is all about.

What Does THRIVE Do?

Job Matching

Can you imagine having your own personal matchmaker, only for your career? Wish granted. THRIVE recruiters have high visibility over all of the current openings within theRocket Companies®. They’re able to take your skill set along with your interests and cross-reference them with current job openings. This could alert you to positions you might be a great fit for but haven’t considered yet, or didn’t even know existed.

Interviewing

An obstacle that all team members must face when applying for a new position is the dreaded interview. While interviewing can be intimidating, your THRIVE recruiter is there to support you throughout the entire process. On the THRIVE website, team members can find valuable resources like tips and tricks to prepare for any curves hiring managers might throw at them. Methods for crafting responses to common interview questions in a way that highlights accomplishments in the best light can also be found on the THRIVE site.

With all these tools, anyone can gain the confidence and skills to interview like a pro. But if team members are still hesitant, the THRIVE Program even hosts monthly mock interview sessions so they can put their new skills to the test.

Shadowing

So how do you get a feel for the position you’d like to interview for? Career changes are big decisions, after all. Team members are encouraged to shadow those in a business area or a specific position that piques their interest. The THRIVE website offers plenty of tips and resources to help you get the most out of your shadowing experience. The best part? Any current Rocket Companies® team member can access the website.

If you’re in good standing in your current position, the THRIVE Program can help you pursue opportunities outside of your business area as well as a promotion in your current area of business. It’s almost unheard of for companies to encourage their employees to leave their current positions, especially if it’s in pursuit of an opportunity in the company outside of a promotion. But we believe that team members do their best work when they’re passionate about what they do. Rather than stunting team member growth, we’ve developed initiatives like the THRIVE Program so each team member can pursue a career path unique to their goals and interests.

The THRIVE Program is one of many training and development programs available to our team members. Visit MyRocketCareer.com to explore some of these programs and learn how you can join the ever-growing Rocket Companies® team.
