Helping Team Members Grow With Leadership Development Opportunities

Team members at Rocket Companies® aren’t just focused on growing the business; they’re also focused on growing their skills and their careers, and we’re here to support and cheer them on as they do it. To help our team members succeed, we have a wide range of internal resources available to offer support, training and opportunities to put everything they learn into practice.
Here are some of the ways our team members can grow professionally and prepare to be great leaders in the future.
Professional Development Hours
Rocket Companies gives each team member Professional Development Hours to use toward opportunities for professional growth. Such opportunities may include nonmandatory, company-sponsored events or trainings, like our conferences, leadership programs, technology conventions and health summits. Professional Development Hours allow team members to grow their industry knowledge and job skills on company time, without having to clock out.
Full-time team members are allotted 24 professional development hours, while part-time team members are given 12 hours.
Aspiring Leaders Program
The Aspiring Leaders Program (ALP) is a leadership development program for team members interested in leading their own teams in the future. The 3-month program helps individuals learn leadership theory and develop skills through interactive experiences, college courses, online trainings and mentorship.
While in ALP, participants will take classes, complete assignments and role-play through real-life scenarios. They’ll also meet with their mentor, a team leader within Rocket Companies, to learn more about their role and how they got there, discuss goals, talk about strengths and the recommended steps for future development.
Microlearning
Learners on the go may enjoy our microlearning offerings. These half-hour-or-less courses are designed to help team members sharpen their skills in minutes and range in topics from coaching, project management and communication to time management, health and wellness and maintaining work-life balance.
Microlearnings are just some of the self-paced, online training options available in our professional resource library, which houses more than 5,000 different courses, trainings, books and articles on professional growth.
