Feeding Frontline Workers

As part of our ongoing response to the coronavirus pandemic, the Rocket Mortgage^® Community Fund and the entire Rocket Mortgage^® has worked hard to identify areas where we could make a positive impact and support our communities. One initiative we’re proud to support is Feed the Frontlines.

This effort, which is coordinated through the City of Detroit, purchases food from local restaurants to deliver to hospitals, firehouses and other places where frontline workers are putting their health on the line to ensure the public is safe and protected.

Stepping Up To Help

This program solves two problems:

First, it helps keep Detroit small businesses operational during this extended shutdown.
Second, it shows support to those men and women who are working long hours away from their families to take care of us all.

As one of the first corporate partners to step up to this initiative, the Rocket Mortgage^® Community Fund was proud to match the first $25,000 donated to the Feed the Frontlines fundraiser campaign.

After we made our initial $25,000 investment, we were amazed by how quickly the number of funders and individual contributors ramped up to raise over $400,000* in a little over two months. Raising Money To Help Our Communities Fight COVID-19

One amazing example of how we’ve come together is the outcome of our fundraising match campaign. With social distancing policies implemented, food distribution centers were facing a dire shortage of volunteers. So many families already struggle with consistent access to quality food sources, and many students get their meals from their schools which are now closed. We knew we needed to do something to help our community, so we set up this match campaign to support critical relief organizations in our home cities of Detroit, Phoenix, Charlotte and Cleveland.
