At Quicken Loans®, we’re dedicated to creating jobs, driving innovation and making a positive impact on society.

Together with our leaders and team members, we continue to discover new ways to create change and help build strong, thriving communities. Every week, we offer hundreds of company-sponsored volunteer opportunities, which makes volunteering easy and accessible for our thousands of team members to lend a hand. And, with approval from their leader, they are free to volunteer as much as they want.

We’re proud of the work that our team members accomplished in 2019, especially their volunteer efforts in the community. Here are just a few ways that our team members have supported our communities in a big way in 2019.

Neighborhoods Week

“What can we achieve when working together with power in numbers and passion for impacting our neighborhoods?” This question led to Neighborhoods Week, a volunteer event that encourages team members to work together to make a big difference in each of our home communities.

As part of our Neighborhoods Week initiative, team members build homes with Habitat for Humanity, take care of critical home repairs and beautify public spaces in Detroit, Cleveland, Phoenix and Charlotte.

In 2019, we had our sixth and most successful Neighborhoods Week, with 1,191 team members volunteering 6,096 hours. We were able to serve hundreds of families and make an everlasting impact on our neighborhoods.

Laura Grannemann, Vice President of Strategic Investments of Quicken Loans Community Fund, said this about Neighborhoods Week, “At Quicken Loans, we know the power of a stable home in an inclusive, thriving and resilient community. This is why we invest in, and volunteer with, Habitat for Humanity to build and improve neighborhoods where our team members live, work and play.”

She continues, “This is an event that our team members look forward to all year long, as they appreciate the ability to work alongside members of the community to make a lasting impact.”

Community Challenge

Our team members are always up for a challenge, especially when it comes to our Community Challenge.

In 2019, we hosted our fourth annual Community Challenge, a monthlong fundraising competition that engages team members and the community and donates money to nonprofit organizations.

Throughout the competition, our team members are tasked with helping nonprofit organizations they are passionate about, earn the most donations and educate friends, families, the community and fellow team members about causes they are proud to support.

At the heart of it, our team members have the opportunity to advocate for causes they care about, learn about hundreds of nonprofit organizations and help these groups make big strides toward their goals.

Altogether, our team members helped raise a total of $870,000 in 2019 for participating nonprofits! In addition, these organizations earned the most donations during our 2019 challenge:

  • Detroit – Give Merit $77,140
  • Cleveland – Ronald McDonald House $28,260
  • Phoenix – McDowell Sonoran Conservancy $24,950
  • Charlotte – Beds for Kids $14,924

Resident Connection Hub

Quicken Loans provides team members with opportunities to use their expertise in more ways than one. Our skilled volunteer events leverage their unique talents to positively impact the community.

Many Detroit residents are eligible for property tax assistance or exemptions, but not many are aware of this program. That’s where our team members come in. The Resident Connection Hub allows team members who are trained in customer service and client relations put their skills to use by providing information about free workshops and other resources sponsored by the Quicken Loans Community Fund.

Investing in the Future

We’re invested in volunteering and building strong, thriving communities. With the help of our team members, we achieve our vision of creating a prosperous future for the cities where we live, work and play. Learn more about our community initiatives here.
