Rock Partners are an elite group of professional mortgage bankers who hold a President’s Club, Triple Crown or Senior Director title and have been with the organization for 8 years or more. I became an inaugural Rock Partner 3 years ago and I am grateful to have maintained my Rock Partner status every year since!

To me, being a Rock Partner means living the culture and ISMs inside and outside of work. It also means mentoring other bankers to grow and succeed!

A couple of my favorite ISM’s are “Do the Right Thing” and “Ignore the Noise.” The Rock Partner program has shaped me by deepening my sense of pride and commitment to the company. It reminds me that I’m with a company that rewards hard work, effort, and results. 

As a Rock Partner, I want to be able to help others obtain the same pride and level of achievement. A piece of advice that I give to my mentees is, “Remember the 3 P’s: Pride, Perspective and Perseverance.”

We work for the best mortgage lender in the country and have the confidence every day in knowing that our Marketing, Technology and Operations teams strive to be the best at what they do.

Sales can be a daily roller coaster ride. We must remind ourselves how fortunate we are to be working for a company that cares so much for its clients. We have amazing leadership who supports our banking force while protecting our company and continued growth.

Throughout our careers, we all experience failures and tough spots. However, it’s how you get past those difficult times and how you choose to handle the next steps that will allow you to grow and become successful.

I continue to work with newer team members to develop their skill sets and sharpen situational awareness. I often think back to the areas I found challenging as a new banker and continue to share my insight and knowledge. My goal in doing this is to help shorten the learning curve, share in every banker’s excitement on their wins and ultimately help them become strong, outstanding team members. Doing this exemplifies a Rock Partner!
