There are many reasons why a team member might choose to leave a company and one of those is that they aren’t receiving the recognition that they deserve. At Rocket Companies®, we know how important it is to be shown appreciation for the work that you’re doing. We have many different programs and initiatives to give our teams the easiest route to sharing praise and appreciation on a large scale and in small daily moments.
Keep reading to learn how Rocket Companies recognizes our team members and get a sense of what life at Rocket is all about!
Amaze platform
One incredibly easy way to show appreciation for your fellow team members is through our Amaze platform. This platform allows you to shout out anyone in the company for their hard work and award them points that they can use towards prizes like gift cards, electronics or home appliances.
I love that this platform is available to all team members and that it’s public for all to see, making it simple for others to learn about the incredible work that our team members are doing daily.
Awards can be given in many ways based on the level of work that was done on a project. From small “fist bumps” to larger “high fives,” you’re able to award other team members for helping you on projects, leading an entire campaign and everything in between. There‘s nothing better than seeing Amaze points come through for the work you have done and the recognition from your peers!
Rock Honors
All our teams host a Rock Honors award show once a year where we’re able to bring an entire business area together to celebrate the accomplishments of team members and teams! The Rock Honors are a great way to shout out a team member that has gone above and beyond throughout the last year.
One of the best things about this award is that it’s peer-nominated. The people you work with every day are the ones who are recognizing your hard work. With hundreds of different nominees and winners, this show is a great time to learn more about the ways that our teams are working together and the impact that everyone’s work has on the entire company.
Drive reviews
Who says feedback isn’t a gift? At Rocket Companies, we regularly have self-reviews and a chance to talk with leadership about your performance. Not only are these a great time to reflect on the accomplishments you have achieved over the last quarter, but they are also a wonderful opportunity for feedback and recognition.
Having the chance to hear directly from your leader on the ways that you have made a positive impact and the ways you can continue to level up your skills is an awesome opportunity. We have quarterly reviews with a larger annual review which leaves you with plenty of chances to see the impact you’re making on the company.
Game plans
Each quarter, many of our business areas host a ‘Game Plan’ meeting where that entire team comes together to celebrate and reflect on the past quarter’s accomplishments. These meetings are an awesome way to showcase different areas of business and help the entire team understand how each team contributes to the larger goals.
Not only are teams recognized for the projects they have executed on, but it’s a great way to see what is planned and see how you could help on those upcoming projects.
Weekly huddles
Although it’s amazing to get recognition at big events throughout the year, sometimes the small moments of recognition throughout the week are more meaningful. Many teams have huddles each week where their individual team can give updates and keep each other in the loop. These huddles happen to be an amazing time to give a shout out to your team member in front of your team.
It feels great to get recognition from your peers and leader, especially when it comes directly from them!
Why we care
Feeling recognized in your job is directly related to how you feel about your company. Feeling like the work that you do doesn’t matter leads to a lack of productivity and can leave you feeling lost in your job. That’s why at Rocket Companies, we’ve implemented many ways for you to receive and give recognition.
