Dollars For Doers
Our Dollars for Doers program rewards team members who spend a lot of time in the community making a difference. Once team members reach 40 volunteer hours in a year, they earn a $250 grant that can be gifted to the nonprofit of their choice.
411 Hours And Counting
A leader in the community and in the office, Rita Daniels is a dedicated volunteer and a Team Leader at our Phoenix office. Every year for the past 3 years, she has earned a Dollars for Doers grant. With her $250 grant last year, she helped a YMCA purchase new sports equipment.
In 2019 alone, Rita volunteered nearly 200 hours, working with organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement USA, Human Services Campus, Arizona Science Center, Andre House, Phoenix Pride and Neighborhoods Week, our annual event.
Along with her sister, she coaches volleyball at the Desert Foothills YMCA in Scottsdale, Arizona. Coaching gives Rita the opportunity to teach her team about sportsmanship and pass on a few of our company values as she encourages them to realize their potential (for example, “You’ll see it when you believe it,” one of the company mantras we live by).
Since joining our team in 2014, she has clocked in a total of 411 volunteer hours. This year, she’s hoping to make that number 500!
“Knowing that even for a few hours a day, or week, I am making a difference in someone’s life really makes a difference in my life. You never really know someone’s story, but you can help write a small piece of it with them,” Rita said.
Whether Rita is volunteering at a food bank or teaching kids about sportsmanship, she’s always active in the community and finds fulfillment in helping others.
