When I started my journey at Rocket Companies, I was coming from a successful door-to-door sales career. While D2D is where my love for the art of influence and persuasion began, it’s certainly not where it ended. Going from direct to indirect selling was scary (and proved to be quite challenging), but it was sales nonetheless and that is one thing I’m very passionate about.
An Unpaved Road
Fast forward a handful of years and a variety of campaigns, roles and even different areas inside of Rocket Companies, I was told that our next move was to grow and develop in the online car sales world!
I’ve sold anything from energy, security systems and even vehicle service contracts, but had no clue that my path would take me to car sales. With very minimal auto knowledge (or interest), I took a leap of faith with confidence that there was something big ahead. I was right.
Dreams Into Driveways
Just as Rocket Companies has mastered the mortgage industry, we’re determined to do the same inside of automotive. The goal is simple: to simplify the car buying process by minimizing the time and effort needed from clients to complete a car sale. We know that like many of us, the dealership experience is not only something we don’t trust but often a dreaded use of our time.
Our process is not only quick and easy – it’s fun, engaging and transparent. We assist our clients with everything from the selection of their car, getting them approved financing and agreeing on terms and payments. We also provide them with great added products like guaranteed asset protection, vehicle service protection, tire and wheel protection, key protection and more. Currently, our inventory consists of used cars only, but I have no doubt in my mind that new car sales will be in our future!
A successful car sale can be completed from start to finish in under an hour. Clients with all necessary documents readily available and uploaded can move even faster. Once our clients sign and return their paperwork, the delivery process begins.
At that point, the vehicle is put through a final quality inspection, and less than 2 weeks later, the car is delivered directly to their home. We also take care of the registration and titling in most cases.
Endless Opportunity
In 2017, we were a small group of about 20 (including leaders, trainers and salespeople) committed to learning and building an online car sales concept. Fast forward to 4 years later and now we’re almost 400 team members strong with big goals for vehicle sales each month.
For anyone interested in auto sales, my advice is to come join us! We’re looking for trailblazers that want to be a part of what we’re building. In a fast-paced environment like ours, it’s equally imperative for our team members to have a solution-focused approach and a student mentality.
Like the rest of the Rocket Companies, we are known for fostering a positive work environment and embodying the ISMs in our day-to-day processes and decision making.
We’ve barely scratched the surface on everything we’ll develop inside of Rocket AutoSM and I’m confident that our future is very bright. We’re growing rapidly, which opens the door of opportunity for all team members with interest to grow inside of sales, training, ops, tech and more.
