Back in summer 2019, we celebrated our Best Quarter Ever and we were on track to have the Best Year Ever in Quicken Loans® history. Now that the year has come to an end, we have succeeded in finishing the year strong and broke records thanks to our amazing clients and team members. We set the standards high and are extremely proud to have made it this far.
Since we moved to Detroit in 2010, each year we’ve increased the number of clients we work with, team members we have, as well as the amount of time we spend making an impact on the community around us. Our amazing culture brings our team members closer together and stronger than ever.
All Hands On Deck
Each individual team member makes an impact in their everyday responsibilities and projects. Teams such as Technology, Banking, Recruiting, Marketing, Product Strategy, Client Experience and many others helped us exceed our goals for the year.
Our successes helped to continue our community programs, such as the Neighbor to Neighbor program, which helps Detroit residents who are at risk of foreclosure stay in their homes. that are at risk of foreclosure. Our team members also made an impact during Neighborhoods Week, where 1,191 team members collectively spent 6,096 hours volunteering by fixing homes in the Detroit area and Phoenix.
Records We Broke
2019 was a huge year for many reasons, but our biggest accomplishment was closing more than $140 billion in total loan volume, shattering our previous loan origination records.
For 10 years in a row now, J.D. Power has ranked Quicken Loans highest in the nation in customer satisfaction for Primary Mortgage Origination. And for the sixth year in a row, they also ranked us highest in the nation for Mortgage Servicing.1
As a way to say thank you, we rewarded our team members for all the time and hard work that they put into this year’s accomplishments with a few big surprises.
Showing Our Appreciation
To show our appreciation, we celebrated our Best Quarter Ever back in summer of 2019 by sending all 17,000 team members to Major League Baseball games in their cities, including Detroit, Cleveland, North Carolina and Phoenix. While each team member was at the game, they also received a voucher for food and drinks to allow them to sit back and relax.
In December, we celebrated with a “Best Year Ever” holiday party, themed by the decades ranging from the 1920s – 2000s. Team members throughout our family of companies spent an evening having fun with friends and family. In addition, each team member received a special monetary bonus and a gift card to Shinola.
Open Positions
As Quicken Loans continues to grow, we’re looking to fill 1,800 open positions that range from entry-level to highly specialized positions. Some of the open positions include underwriters, data scientists, mortgage loan officers, paid interns and many more. This year was an astounding success and we’re working hard to be better than ever in 2020!
